Ashling Findlay-Carroll
Theatre Maker, Director, Performer, Lecturer, Researcher
My approach to theatre is collaborative and centres on the physical, pulling influences from embodied vocal work, physical theatre, performance art and dance, it regularly (although not exclusively) occurs in non-traditional performance spaces.
My research is concerned with performer training using embodied techniques to encourage active ensemble members who have the confidence and self-awareness to stand in their own selves, in both rehearsal and performance.
I have worked in numerous roles from Lecturer, Project Manager to Performer, Facilitator to Choreographer often in a combination of these in order to ensure the success of the given project.
